Purpose of Job
To maintain company assets by implementing a total preventative maintenance system that allows complete operational availability to all departments as and when the business require within agreed standards, budget and provisions ensuring adequate skilled work force, materials and management.
To meet management performance targets by ensuring machine/electrical equipment availability at all times ensuring adequate provision of skills labour and guidance across all departments as and when the business requires.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Stock: Highlight and recommend additions and deductions to spares and stock holdings. Review and moniter Engineering PPM backlog. Verify and Complete work orders
Projects: Assist and advise on new section Projects. Assist in commissioning and testing related Plant.
Quality.
Health and Safety
Budgets and Finance. Control of Engineering budgets. Approve expenditure up to specified levels. Monitor and review spend.
Training and Recruitment
Requirements
Essential: Minimum HND or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. (UK Standards) and a minimum 10 years experience in industry (ideally manufacturing) in a similar position.
Minimum 10 Years Engineering Management experience in a similar role. Working with a multi skilled workforce a Dairy/Liquid food or equivalent environment.
Extensive knowledge of dairy processing equipments, high speed packaging machinery and control systems including research design and development of automated machinery.
Extensive management experience to manage a multi-skilled workforce within a dairy/liquid food or equivalent environment and management of projects.
